National College of Computer Science in Piatra - Neamt is a preuniversity educational institution that promotes personal development of each student, in agreement with pupils skills, abilities and desires, and according the society needs on labour market. Founded over forty years ago, The National College of Informatics is the only public school in Neamt with all secondary school profile, on math - intensive IT specialization. Due to the uniqueness of the profile, the College includes students from throughout the country, 40% of the school population coming from rural areas. The group of students consists of 720 high school students (24 classes) and 220 secondary school students (5-8th grade). 60Teachers form a team, of which 8 are math teachers and 10 physics, chemistry biology teachers; auxiliary staff - 20 persons and non-teaching staff - 25 persons.

School Strategy aims accountability of school students towards their own professional path and their involvement in solving community problems, taking into account the creation of a healthy society. Regarding innovative component of educational activity, the National College of Science manages to develop national and international projects addressing transdisciplinary vision by implementing cross-curricular elective course, fields required by the labour market in the country and abroad. We mention outdoor activities experience having interdisciplinary character due to multilateral partnership SOS WATER and a Erasmus+ project KA2 entitled: Creative path of learning - where we will promote the interdisciplinary approach and using non-formal methods .

At school level there are the following active student clubs: debate club, journalism club (the school magazine has two issues per year and has received many awards in competitions), WATER SOS ecology club, computer club (which develops programming concepts).
